The Boston Museum of Science is a great rainy day activity for people of all ages!!! The museum is located in Science Park right along the Charles River. The science museum has over 550 interactive exhibits!!! These exhibits cover topics of life science, the natural world, technology, earth and space science, and mathematics. Here is the link to the current exhibits page on the Museum of Science website http://www.mos.org/exhibits_shows/current_exhibits
Aside from the wonderful exhibits offered the Museum of Science has an IMAX Theatre, Planetarium, a 3-D Digital Cinema, and a Simulator Experience. The IMAX Theatre and the Simulator Experience are two of my personal favorite parts to the museum. The IMAX always has great shows to see! Currently they are showing a film called Adrenaline Rush: The Science of Risk and also a film on Arabia. Here is the link to the IMAX Theatre Page- http://www.mos.org/exhibits_shows/imax

The Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail is a great way for visitors to the city of Boston to learn how to navigate the city, while seeing some of the many historical sights Boston has to offer. The trail is two and a half miles long and is marked with a painted or red brick line marking. The Freedom Trail is also marked with signs at each of the stops. Some of the stops along the way include The Boston Common, The State House, Park Street Church, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House, and The Bunker Hill Monument.
The Freedom Trail begins at the Boston Common and ends at the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown, MA. It is a great free activity for visitors of Boston to enjoy. The only stops along the trail that are not free are the Paul Revere House, the Old South Meeting House, and the Old North Church.
For more information on the Freedom Trail you can go to the information booth located on the Boston Common on Tremont Street. The information booth has information about the trail for tourists including maps and brochures with descriptions of each of the 16 stops along the two and a half mile trail.
Aside from visiting the trail on your own spare time you can also arrange to have a guided costume tour. This provides individuals with the opportunity to experience the trail by being accompanied by a historian.
